The haplotree and the story of a haplogroup

Haplotree, in the DNA menu, places the Y and mitochondrial haplogroups of the people in the tree you have open, and of your matches, on the scientific reference trees: YFull for Y and PhyloTree for mt. Each branch shows how many people sit on it or below it, and the page says how each one was placed. A name that is not in the reference tree is listed as not placed; nothing is guessed. Click any haplogroup, on the haplotree or on a chip in a match list, and its story opens: the path from the root to this branch with the markers that define each step, the branches below it, and your people and matches on this branch. In a match list each chip carries the colour of its main branch, a shade lighter or darker for each subbranch.
