Why linking asks for a ROOT person

Relationship reasoning is measured from the home person of the tree, so a tree with no ROOT has no origin to measure from. If you see "Set yourself as the ROOT on this tree first", open the person who is you, use Set as ROOT, and return to the kit. Check that you set it on the tree you are actually working in - a ROOT belongs to one tree, not to your account.
