How you get your DNA matches here

AutoTreeGen is not a DNA testing company, so uploading your raw DNA file does not produce a match list by itself. Your matches live at the company where you tested: Ancestry, MyHeritage, FamilyTreeDNA, 23andMe or GEDmatch. You bring that list here: link your kit to yourself in a tree, then import the list on the kit. The platform then estimates relationships and suggests the branch each match most likely belongs to; linking a match to a person in your tree stays your decision. Clusters need shared-match data: an AutoCluster export or a list with shared matches (ICW). The raw file still matters: it gives haplogroups and segments. Where a company has an export button (MyHeritage, FamilyTreeDNA, 23andMe, GEDmatch One-to-Many), download the CSV. Ancestry has no export: upload your raw file to GEDmatch (free) and take the One-to-Many CSV from there. We also show your AutoTreeGen Matches: other customers whose DNA overlaps yours.
